A National Health and Hygiene Organisation
When faced with workplace injuries and operational inefficiencies due to the handling of heavy transporter trolleys, the National Health and Hygiene Organisation sought Machine Technology’s expertise. Our innovative solutions not only enhanced trolley durability but also significantly improved safety and manufacturing efficiency.
Trolley durability and injury was occurring as staff handled trolleys loaded with sharps containers in and out of trucks. They were heavy and required hands positioned around the side to move them effectively into, positioned within and out of the trucks. Injuries were back related and damaged hands/fingers
Machine Technology adapted the design to incorporate recessed handles within the unit to allow handling within the boundaries of the trolley – thus protecting hands and fingers. Machine Technology also developed a modular approach to manufacture that aided the production process.
Reduction on workplace injuries. Enhanced trolley design. Increased production efficiencies through modular manufacture design.
